They overcame Villa Clara 83:58 in Game 4 of the semifinal series to book the championship series ticket. The teams stayed close throughout the first half. The scoreboard read 38:38 at the big break. But Ciego de Avila raced off to an 11-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. They controlled the tempo throughout the final stanza and cruised to the victory.
